Writers and Literary Stuff

Sunnyoutside

Sunnyoutside Press is fastly becoming one of the most respected names in the small presses, despite the fact that they publish my books. Go check out their catalogue and the venerable names they publish (present company excluded). Top-notch.

Tim Horvath

Tim was one of my classmates in the MFA program at UNH and a writer to watch. Already, Tim's stories are making their way into some of the biggest journals in the country. He's a great writer and an even better guy.

Rebecca Schumejda

Becky is one of my favorite female poets writing today. A fellow high school teacher and new mom, Becky's work will rock your world.

Night Train

Night Train recently published one of my short stories and regularly updates with new pieces of flash fiction. It is edited by Rusty Barnes, fellow Sunnyoutside writer and author of the fine, fine collection of flash fiction Breaking It Down.

The GPP

The Guerilla Poetics Project has made some serious noise around the world, having been written up in Poets and Writers. The organization has some fine motives and enthusiastic members. Consider getting involved.

Barnstorm

Barnstorm is the on-line journal for the MFA program at UNH. I did some work for them last year. Check it out.

The New Hampshire Writers Project

This organization is an invaluable resource for any writer living in New Hampshire. I'm not only a member, I also play one on television.

Music and other stuff

David Terrero

I met David at my reading in Syracuse and grabbed one of his CD's. It's really nice music. He reminds a little of Jeff Buckley. A great guy as well.

The Boston Dirt Dogs

This is my favorite Sox site. I check it everyday.

Dan Cray

Dan's a musician friend of mine from the Boston area.  He's also one of my favorites.  He recently put out a new CD.  You can download some of his tunes from his site.  I seriously recommend checking it out and buying his albums.  I've used his lyrics for epigraphs in Not So Profound and Honey, I'm Home.

Gregg Yeti

I also met Gregg and performed with him in Syracuse. He gave me one of his CD's, and I can't get enough of it. He rocks.
